Třípísmenné kódy her jednoznačně identifikují každou hru (nikoli však rozšíření nebo rodinu her) bez ohledu na různé názvy, pod kterými je známa. Byly převzaty z palubní databáze her a slouží k synchronizaci s ní a k jiným účelům automatického zpracování, nejsou tedy primárně určeny pro použití lidmi. Vytvoříte-li stránku o nové hře, můžete pro ni zde navrhnout nový kód, ale není to nutné, udělá to robot, který synchronizaci provádí.
